Live-in carer

This service provides for a person who either lives in the house of the participant or travels with the participant. The service provides assistance with, and/or supervision of, personal tasks of daily life to develop skills of the participant to live as autonomously as possible.

Meal Preparation

The carer prepares balanced, nutritious meals, catering to specific dietary needs and preferences. This includes planning meals, cooking, and aiding with eating if necessary. The focus is on ensuring participants enjoy healthy, tasty meals that meet their dietary requirements.

Grocery Shopping

The carer assists with grocery shopping, selecting items that align with the participant’s dietary needs and personal preferences. This involves planning meals, managing budgets, and ensuring a steady supply of necessary groceries and household items.

Medication Management

Managing medication involves ensuring timely intake, keeping track of prescriptions, and monitoring for side effects. The carer assists with organising medications, understanding dosage instructions, and liaising with healthcare providers as needed.

Housekeeping

Light housekeeping duties include cleaning, doing laundry, and maintaining an orderly environment. This ensures the participant’s living space is clean, safe, and comfortable, which is vital for their wellbeing and quality of life.

Companionship

Offering companionship involves engaging in conversations, participating in hobbies or interests, and providing emotional support. This social interaction is vital for mental health, reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Mobility Assistance

The carer assists with walking, transfers, and using mobility aids. This includes helping the participant move around their home safely and comfortably, and may involve exercises to maintain or improve mobility.
